National Championship Air Races - Reno, NV 2007

The Jet Class

The Jet class was started in 2002, and up until this year was only open the Czech L-39 Albatros. This year any non-afterburning jet that had a wing sweep of less than 15 degrees was allowed. This provided a chance for the likes of the T-33, T-2, and L-29 to race. Speeds were very fast, with the top qualifier in a T-33 at 525 mph.
