2012 National Championship Air Races - Reno Nevada
After the tragic events of last year, I did not think I would ever get to experience the thrill of Unlimited Air Racing again. The NTSB, FAA, and the Reno Air Racing Association all worked in concert with each other to make sure that air racing would continue. A little help was also needed from the Nevada State Tourism Commission, to pay off the 2 million dollar insurance premium that allowed the races to happen. 2013 would be the 50th year in the modern era of air racing. The insurance money may again be a big problem in 2013.
